The VIDAS 5200 MK will be the first 100% Sustainable Project in North Texas, it is a development of 30 single-family Town-House homes, to be built in the city of Denton (133.808 inhabitants), located North-West of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metropolitan Area in the North of Texas, very close of the giant business hub located in the triple border of the counties of Denton, Collins and Dallas, as well as the airports DFW International Airport and Dallas Love Field. Denton and Collins counties lead the growth list nationwide, having a growth rate in jobs double the rest of the nation.

The city of Denton is developed around its central square, with its historic center that serves as a hub for cultural and political life, thanks to the rescue of many historic buildings, such as the Court building, which are now a seat of great urban activity . Much of this urban life, especially the musical scene, is due to the presence of two important universities: the University of North Texas (38,315 students) and Texas Woman’s University (15,400 students), which gives the city great energy and character.

The land to be developed, located East of the central area of ​​the City Denton is 5200 E McKinney St, at the intersection of McKinney Street and Glengary Way, has a trapezoidal shape and an approximate area of ​​2.53 Acres. 

In front of the site on McKinney Street there is a public transit stop, which connects it with the city center, with universities and other points of interest, including: the light rail station of the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) system, which links Denton with Dallas and other locations within the DFW metropolitan area, as well as with hospitals, schools, restaurants, pharmacies and shopping centers.

The project will consist of 30 Town-Homes, with areas between 1800 and 2000 square feet. The homes are organized in rows, their main facades face the streets and front-yards and their rear facades face the alleys. The common areas design theme is “sustainable living”: To the East there is a structure where there will be multipurpose spaces: a gym and an outdoor terrace, solar panels ,generating helix, and a rainwater collection tank. To the North there will be urban gardens, composter, and dog-park, all connected by walkways.

There are two types of the units, the Type 1 located at the ends of the rows (3 levels - double volumen living room), the Type 2  in the middle of the rows (2 levels).

Each Town-Home has:

•Garage, living-dining, 1/2 bath. 

•Master suite.

•2 bedrooms, 1 bath, laundry.

•Green roof and terrace.

All homes will have solar panels and will be built with sustainable methods and materials.
